Water spots or etching? little help

Hey guys. I purchased my red Gto back in December. The body was straight but was covered in hard water stains. After some aggressive rotary compounding I was able to remove them. My question involves the glass as it was covered too. I tried vinegar, CLR, etc. I was able rotary polish the glass with fg400 and that took care of the surface spots. But under the garage lighting I can see etching still on the back window and side glass. Also on the edges of my mirrors. I was looking at the mothers water spot remover or something of the like but I am kinds lost on this one. Is the glass permanently etched? Tried to get some pics but its tough to capture on my camera. I want to coat the glass with cquartz but not until the glass is defect free.

Look near the flash and you can see the spots

The mirrors are likely just water spots. It's hard to get etching there because of the location away from sunlight. Try a little polish by hand in that area, but becareful, because plastic mirrors are more scratch sensitive.

As far as the windshield, yes it could be etched. At that point, you can polish it using something like CarPro CeriGlass and their Rayon Glass Polishing Pads.

Mothers water spot remover is a good product. I had similar water spots on my car's glass and I used mother's with a LC 4" white polishing pad. That took the water spots off on the glass. I did the side mirrors by hand and it also worked really good.

Looks easy water marks for Spotless, try it
more easy to use than ceriglass , ceriglass is great for bigger problem or scratches on glass
