im dead serious...i have seen it in some truck mag and i have seen on some websites where they say it works...
no dude i would never trick someone into doing something like that to their truck with a chance of damaging or hard to get off lol

Ok-cool-thanks. I'll try that on my dad's car after the next wash.

Water Spots

Currently, I've used Zaino's glass polish with very good results.

All depending on how bad it is.

Take your PC and some Menzerna IP, FP, or DACP or whatever you have handy and a yellow pad and let it fly on a higher speed, you will remove almost everything. Used this method on my Carrera on glass and rear view mirrors etc. and it will amaze you.
It's glass your not going to burn through it.

How about we stop assuming that everyone has a PC? :lmfao :cool

Thanks for all the tips guys-keep em comin. I'll probably try some stuff this weekend.

Sorry I wasn't assuming you had a PC or rotary, I actually did my side mirrors with MF and Menzerna IP by hand. Try this, you will be like what the hell was I wasting all this time for.

91LSMAN, if you havent solved your water spot problems yet, try SPot-X hard water stain remover. I work at a body shop and that's what we use, it takes alot of elbow grease, but it works great..The first time i used it I did a 4runner in about 3 hours. If you're interested goto this website http://spot-x.com/ I think we get it from Home Depot for around $10. Go here for the directions on how to use it http://spot-x.com/Hints.htm#anchor954185

be careful with acid cleaners on glass i messed up some glass last week and im going to find a new way to remove waterspots so ill be following this post . im not proud that i messed up someones glass but ill share good and bad experiences here so you dont do the same thing..i got some bad advice from a pro and it was a learning experience ..
I've used acid on windows as well as paint many times, even on a black pre-production one off proto-type vehicle. Please elaborate on this bad learning experience of yours... what product (acid) was used, how you used it, how long it sat, what the results were, etc...
Thanks :)

Of course, you coulda used ...
attachment.php

which woulda fixed it right up ;)

Wow a thread back from the dead.

I actually never solved the water spot problem on my Dad's RL. But I'm waiting for my 7424 and Poorboys products to come now!! Once I'm comfortable with the PC I may order the glass polishing kit mentioned earlier in this thread.

Thanks again guys.
