Water softener

Could someone recommend to me, a good water softener. When I detail, I use water from the tap on the side a the house. Here in Texas, the water has so much mineral in it, that it is impossible to not have water spots, even using a leak blower.

Anyways, can someone recommend one that will last, and that is low-priced? Thanks,

EDIT: Is this one Okay?

I think you want a softener not a filter, or maybe both. Autogeek.net sells them (which is the same as the Amazon listing you posted)

Spot Free filter works well and is economical. You recharge by simply running salt water through the unit. Takes about 15 minutes and cost pennies.

So would there be no need to dry after rinsing with this? Worst case scenario lets say I just rinse off the car and dont dry it and leave it in the sun for an hour or so. Can there really be no water spots even like this? Or what if it went straight into the garage after the final rinse and no drying?

Usually that is not the case, but it will turn very hard water into soft water. This makes soaps and cleaners work better and REDUCES the chances of water spots.
