Water Reclamation

I am a mobile detail company, and have recently been toying around the idea to make a water reclamation system. My past work with my fire company has given me the idea to take a tarp, and simply take 3" hose (which ill inflate) and wrap the tarp around the hose giving me a wash area. I just think this is to simple. Also will a shop-vac be able to suck the water up? i have a 55 gallon drum(s) that ill be able to dump my water in. Your thoughts and comments please

Just picked up that CG mat recently for indoor washing at my shop (no floor drain). mat works well so far

shop vac to reclaim the water seems to work alright just takes a little patience. FYI the vac fills up fast because you have soapy water mixed in which makes it foam up inside the vac

I would think a small pump would be better than a shop vac. Isn't that the reclaim matts use and deal with the suds somehow.

I tried a small submersible pump, folding the mat into sections, and using a squeegee to push water to the pump. Still feel like the shop vac is easier although I may give the pump another go of it now that you mention it. still kinda getting used to washing inside in the mat. kinda weird
