Water Blade

If the car is perfectly clean they would probably be OK but if there is any grit on the car the water blade will just drag it across the paint. I wouldn't risk ending up with RIDS, personally.

use the flooding/sheeting method with just the hose and sheet as much water off the car, and then use a ww or mf drying towel...

If you search, there have been several discussions on it. I tried one from Target. Mine left rubber scuff marks on both my vehicles -- which I had to buff off with QD & MF. I returned it, and they gave me my $17 back.

To get that flooding method to work, you have to have a good polish, then sealant and then a good wax right?

I use a similar item all of the time. works great for windows and large flat areas, like on my F-150.

Are these worth it?

I love mine. However I only use it to get the majority of water off and mainly on horizontal surfaces. After that I use a MF drying towel.

Just make sure you use it on a clean wet surface. I don't use mine on the car's lower body panels.
