Washing Cali Duster?

After several years of usage my Cali duster is dirty but still works great. Does anyone here ever wash their duster? Does it works as well after? Is there still paraffin on the fibers after washing?

Mine is 4 years old and filthy, and it still does a great job dusting without scratching. As long as you don't drop it on the ground and get sand in it, you probably don't need to wash it.

For as cheap as they are, I'd just get a new one.

True, they are inexpensive but like a fine wine Cali dusters improve with age. Getting to the point where excess paraffin is not smearing the finish is the expensive ( time) part.

From everything I've read about the Cali duster you aren't supposed to wash em. They are supposed to get better the older they get. I don't know how having more dirt in it makes it work better though... If that were truly the case then a used duster would sell for more than a new one. Just shake it out real well and if no animals come flying out then you are probably good for another few years.

It is not reommended that they go through the wash cycle.
