Hey guys, im probably going to start doing details at peoples houses this summer and im wondering about the laws and such about washing in the driveways. I noticed a few of you guys use the mats and a few of you dont. Do i need to?

The mats are soo no chemicals or anything stain the driveway/garage. They contain all the water or whatnot. There shouldn't be any laws about wash a car in a driveway...well not where I live atleast. Check your local laws to be safe though...there are water restrictions in some areas...

i would ocntact your city and see what you need.. here in calgary we cannot let chemicals go down the drain, the solution is either onr or a matt.. matts are expensive so I use onr... do you need on? well that depends on your city and what you want to do

yea... i dont think my washing chemicals are bad though. I basically inly use Z7, P21S Total Auto and P21S wheel cleaner. I should proly buy some ONR...

dosent matter if they are bad or not.. i cannot put anything down the storm sewer including biodegrable soaps... i would check the local laws first

In the US the federal Clean Water Act applies, which prohibits effluents (such as car wash runoff) from bodies of water (which means they can't run into a storm drain). One legal way is to wash the car on the lawn, so the effluent is "filtered" by the soil, etc.
