Wash mits?

I've been using these extremely plush Vroom Microfiber Chenile mitts from Target for the last 2+ years. I use them with another plush Vroom MF chenile covered sponge for tighter areas that I can't get with the mitt. They are being discontinued, so I just picked up a few more today at a very good price ($3.14 IIRC).

They are perfect for ONR (wool mitts don't work as well with ONR IMO) and also work great for conventional washes.

Depends on the part of the wash process I'm in, either...

Sheepskin for the upper part of the car, Micro/chenille or another sheepskin for the lower part. I've had good luck with the LC grout sponges too, they release dirt/contaminants well and I haven't had any marring issues with them.

I use a few mitts per car and when I think they're not coming perfectly clean after use, I toss 'em. Wash mitts, cheap... screwing up someone's paint, expensive.

Just switched to a grout sponge. It works great with ONR, but I am not sure why. Perhaps the very porous nature of the sponge sucks contaminants into the sponge as the it hydroplanes over the surface of the paint. I used to use a non-split MF mitt that worked fine. The worst mitt I've tried was a synthetic wool mitt, "Spun Gold" by SM Arnold. Even with zero pressure it marred the paint when used witn ONR or a traditional car shampoo.
