Trump has run before and never got traction this far into the race? Why because the USA is desperate to get back on track both at home and abroad. I am not saying he is perfect but nobody is.
I read this somewhere recently.
If you came home from a vacation and found you house had been overrun by a pack of raccoons. They were destroying what you spent a lifetime building, and treating your family in a way that you were afraid could harm them you would call for help right? And if the guy who could go in an do the job of getting these things out of your house was a smelly, overweight guy who cursed, had bad manners and any other vile attribute you would hire him and let him do his job because he could get it done.
I think this is why Trump is succeeding. He may not be the most polished politician, and he may make mistakes others would avoid because they are so politically correct, but he will gain the respect (or attention) of the world because he does not care what others think, he care (as it appears) to get the job, that has not been done, done. Its been a long time since any political race has been so charged within parties and I think is because we as a country work up the the fact that we need to get back on tract he and abroad.
I am not for discrimination of any people for race, religion or any other reason. I am for a safer USA and world and I'm not savvy enough to figure out how to go about doing that without stepping on some toes. I don't think it is possible to not upset someone, but I do know that I want to have a safe place to live and not hear about innocent people getting killer or hurt just because they hasppen to be in the wrong place in public at the wrong time.
Unfortunately to get back the to what I consider normal we need to go through a re-birth and that is a painful process.
My Dad never cared if I was his friend, I was his son and raising me was a WIP (and we had a great relationship, but he was focused on raising me properly without a doubt) , he taught me what was right and wrong. It was clear, and I knew the rules as they were black and white. Like any kid, I got into trouble by disobeying rules and getting caught. Nothing too major. No punishment was ever shortened or waived because that would show weakness and perhaps I would not have learned the lesson. The risk to him was, I would do it again if the punishment was not dispensed. If I begged to get out of a punishment, I ran the risk of it getting longer or worse. I had to take it. That taught me to behave and not repeat those things that would get me punished. it worked and I think its what the country needs. A leader that can make tough decisions, admit some may not be 100% fair right now, but they are necessary and the only way and as we get a handle on what's going on. Once that happens we can repeal or re create rules that are more equitable. For now we need to catch and punish those robbing us of our PEACE OF MIND.
