On my dewalt rotary I have had the Lake Country 6" (the yelllow one) for about 2 yrs and it has never given me a problem

I was going to try either the soft foam w66 meguiars but was leaning more towards the w68 more sturdy plate.

I use the makita mainly for taking out wet sanding marks after cars leave our shop with fresh paint

thanks let me know what you guys are using

try out that w66 soft foam backing plate. I have heard that it was good. I also have a Makita 9227 and am looking to switch out from the LC to the Meguiars W66 myself.

I have and use both. I've had the LC BP for a few years and just picked up the W66 last summer. I wish I had owned a W66 sooner, it's simply an awesome plate. You can't wrong having both in the arsenal.

Hope this helps.
