On my way to work, making good time, so there's no rush.
I'm behind this other car on the hwy, about 2-3 car lengths
behind. All of a sudden, the driver swerves hard out of the lane.
I figured he may have lost control or fell asleep at the wheel.
Then I see it right in front of me, a car donut.
Now I have cars on either side, and behind, so all I could do was just
jerk the wheel a little and try to drive over it. I hit the damn thing
so hard, my r/side tire just blew out. The blast shifted the
car hard to the left. I was fighting for control all the while
until I finally managed to get the car on the dirt. I was lucky
that one of my co-workers managed to see me on the roadside,
and went ahead to let my hq know what happened.
There I was now, trying to change a tire with my butt sticking out into the
road, meanwhile these moron drivers are coming closer and closer.
One of them even screamed or laughed at me. All I kept thinking
to my self was I just want to get out of here. On the other side
of the road, I start to see more and more cars pulled over to the
side of the road; more victims of the donut. I finally got my own
donut on, and limped the rest of the way to hq. The car is all
over the place, so I finally had to get my dad to shadow me
on my way back home. I suspect I will probably have to do
more than just replace a wheel and a tire, though. And I
am pretty sure, it's gonna cost me.
Part of me thought that maybe this was a simple accident. Maybe
it came loose from off a suv or a minivan. But I suspect that it wasn't.
The road is not that rough that it would shake a tire loose from whatever
is holding it in place. Plus, this isn't the first time something like this
has happened.
Who would toss a tire into the road? What kind of sick kick
does someone get out of that? It's a miracle that know one
was serioulsy injured or killed.
All I know right now is I want to throw the idiot
such a beating. Beat him within an inch of his useless,
mouthbreathing life. Then beat his parents for allowing such a
waste of sperm and eggs to continue to exist on the planet.
