Wall-Mounted Garage Vac.....

My lovely wife is going to buy me a Wall-Mounted Garage Vac for Christmas.....

My NUMBER 1 CRITERIA: It must have a 30-foot hose!

I want to be able to not only vacuum the vehicles in the garage, but also the ones in the driveway, without moving any equipment or dragging out an extension cord, etc.

So... it must be wall mounted and have at least a 30 foot hose... No, not 25'.

Recommendations?

Bill, take a drive over to "The Complete Garage Store" on 87th street in Lenexa, you will be glad you did, your pocketbook might not be so happy though. They have a wall mounted vac in there that looks to be the real deal, plus I believe you can put whatever length of hose you want to on it. The whole store is just super cool and worth the drive.

Just a suggestion, good luck.

I haven't heard of that place. Sounds like a good place to get lost for a few hours!!!

I'll schedule a trip!:D

It's not the biggest place, but has some very cool garage stuff and also the entire line of Griot's stuff. Just a pretty neat place.

I have to call our freinds at Metro Vac on that special hose for you Bill, maybe they have them in stock for a unit like the one you want for the holidays.

That would be nice! In the place where the unit would have to be mounted I would need 30' in order to reach the back end of a large truck or SUV. Sometimes I have vehicles stacked 2 deep in the driveway and I want to reach the ones furthest back without shuffling cars.

Bill,
Have you looked at the MetroVac VNB-73 ? It's the biggest canister model they make I believe, and the hoses are all 6' feet long, so 5 of these connected end to end would give you a little over 30', and you would have to option of disconnecting them at the 6' interval in case you didnt need to be dragging out that much hose each time.
You would need more power the longer you run the hose, so need to research this out with MetroVac or someone else who has used that much hose to see how well it would work .
I take the canister out to the driveway and only put 12" on it and at that length, it will suck the wings off a fly at 3 feet ! J/K :) It does anything I want it to do and the bag is as long as the length of the machine and is easy to clean cloth, so no more replacing filters..
I dont remember getting the Wall-Mount with mine, so I am going to try to get one from someone, and mount mine up by the end of the garage and see how this works for me too.

I let you know Bill, when I find out.
