Waffle weaves-is one enough?

Thinking about getting a WW from Ranney. It's 25 x 36. Is that enough to dry an average sized car or should I get 2. I have a Mazda 6.



Should I wash and care for it the same way I do for regular MF as in wash alone and hang dry.

I would suggest getting two, 'cuz you don't want to need one more part way through drying.

I have two, and used both to thoroughly dry my CR-V this weekend.

Oneis more than enough if you ask me. Once I am finished drying the car it is hardly damp

I would go with 2. It takes me about 1.5 WW to dry my car. I have 5 right now and am itching to get more because washing them is a pain...

I wash them after 1 or 2 uses, but go through my whole supply before dumping them in the washing machine.

I'd say get two, I only have one and need to get a 2nd. Even if you only need one, then at least if one needs to be washed and you wash your car, you have a second. I forgot to wash mine, and then washed my car yesterday. So I had to use a chamois.

Having a second towel on hand is also useful for when gravity and Murphy get together and decide that the towel in your hand would look better on the ground. If you only have one towel, all you can do is cuss. If you have two towels, you can cuss, then grab your spare towel and get back to drying.

Yeah, more is better. I won't even say how many I have , but I always use more than one, even on small vehicles.



I'd wash them whenever they get dirty (well, duh guess you know that ) but also consider that if you have hard water, the minerals could build up on the towel. I wash mine after almost every use- machine wash (try the Micro-Restore stuff), machine dry.

I can dry my Mazda6 with one of Ranney's WWs. I use another cheap-o one for doing the wheels and other potentially "still dirty" areas. I just got another PakShak one for a backup in case one ends up on the ground or in the wash. One is enough to dry your car, but getting two will be much more convienient.

I'd buy as many as you can fit into your budget. Why? For me I'm not into handwashing anything, especially MFs or WWs towels. I have enough of both kind of towels, 100 MF and 10 WW, that I can wait until I have a big enough load to justify washing them in the washing machine. With that said, I've found 5 WW to be plenty and I use them only once before washing. This way I have enough towels to create one or two wash loads a month.



I use QEW to wash and a CWB to remove the excess water before drying with a WW. When I'm done, my WW is just damp and I've never needed more than one for drying either my 4Runner, S10 or BMW.

GET 2 you only need one to dry that car.A towel that size can do a SUV with no problem but you want another waiting in the wings

I started out with 1, and now I have 5. 3 different kinds. I have 5 vehicles (3 bikes) and go through a lot of drying towels. Think of it this way, you're paying shipping anyway, and towels weigh almost nothing. I would get 3 or 4 and put two away for when the first two start to wear out. I am sorry that I did not do this earlier, and had to pay shipping 3 times. If I had to do it again, I would never order less than 6 at a time.
