Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Drying Towels

Wow, I didn't know so many people had problems with their WW's. I have had some for 3 years and others for 1-2 years. Mine are still soft and work exceptionally well. I wash my WW's and MF's in warm/cold cycle and they are still soft. Some are softer than others but that is because of different brands. I use 2 WW's to dry a car or SUV and the vechicle is completely dry, including door jambs and wheels. I didn't like cotton towels becuase of the linting they left behind and other towels or MF's just streak water around after 2 passes. I just wish I knew which ones I have so I could order some more. There are too many out there that look the same but have different names, or sizes. I'm sure they are all by the same company in Korea but its kind of confusing with all the different names.

I know I'm a noobe and all....but guys..trust me...The Mothers WW towel is

awsome, especially used after the "sheeting Method". You just pick-up two

corners and gently drag it over the car and wala, it's dry....I love this towel!

Very thich for a WW and seems to hold-up also.:2thumbs:

Wow...different conversation than I expected.

From my use and testing, waffle weave wins, hands-down. I experience much less marring than traditional cotton.

As for absorbancy and stiffness, I have experienced many of the problems mentioned, but both are usually remedied with a hot wash or two and some distilled white vinegar.

Agreed! I fig'd WW hands down.........:bolt

I'm shocked as well.... also a little confused by some of the people who've said they've had problems with their WWMF. In all the years I've been using the Adams Great White towels I think I've only ever retired one and that was more b/c it got some adhesive on it than anything else. For those saying they've "Gone hard" or stopped absorbing after a few washes... how are you washing/caring for them??

I prefer the large non waffle weave MF. The gold Viking drying towel and the large blue MF from Walmart are much better than WW MF IMO. They are softer and more absorbent. The fact I can get them local and cheap is a bonus.

If you rinse a car properly there should be very little water left on it. In this case how much water the towel can hold is a non issue for me. I'm more interested in how well it absorbs than how much. There is a difference.

I like the WW that DetailedImage sells. I had one from Autopia and it linted. They sent me a replacement but the most recent wash it left some lint again so I'm not sure what to do.

Meanwhile, the blue one from DI works great every time, and hasn't gotten 'hard' as some have talked about, after washing in Tide detergent. I might even get another one before the month is out (it's on special).

Depends on the time of day I am washing my car. In the early morning I use the blower from CG because its not to loud, and I finish up with a WW from GG. If it later in the day or early evening I use some crazy blower I got as a gift. Its loud but it blowes all the water off the car in no time if I put it on hi, Then I finish with a WW from autogeek a smaller one

I've had outstanding results from Meguiar's Water Magnet MF waffle-weave drying towels. I can dry nearly any car with two of them, even a Ford Excursion.
