Waffle Weave Drying Towel ..good deal

Rob's a nice guy. Dealt with him once on one order and I was impressed. Just placed an order for some towels since they were on sale.

I had a question about the pricing on these WW. I contacted Rob at WC and he took care of me right away. With customer service like this, I will be picking up a more few items soon from WC.

His mf mitts are on sale for $0.60 you can't beat that, probably good for window cleaning and interior wipe downs...

they are selling plastic bottles there too! ive been looking for them

the picture shows them white, but the description says clear...anyone know the color?

The WW towels get softer with additional washes. I bought the 20 x 40 before, and I didn't like them at first.... but after a few uses they get softer and thirstier..... :up

I received a couple of these towels this week. They look OK I guess, but I wouldn't order them again. They seem pretty thin and nearly flat, almost no "WW" texture. Once you include the price of shipping, I think I would have been better off picking up a couple Mequiars WWs at Autozone or just ordering one higher quality towel somewhere.

Dave,

I believe your purchase came to about $6.50 per towel with shipping. I have never been told that our towels did not have much ww to them. I am sure they will perform better than your initial opinions. Remember, you can't always judge a book by its cover. I hope that for the money, they do NOT make you a one-time customer. However, after I move to Ohio in the next few weeks, feel free to drop me a line if you were not satisfied and I will take care of it for you.

Thanks,

Rob Regan

Rob, thanks for your feedback. Admittedly my first impression was just from my first look, I haven't had a chance to actually try them out. I will stand by my comment that they have a pretty flat texture compared to a couple of other brands of WW that I own, it left me with the impression of a WW that had been steam-pressed.

My car's been in the shop for over a week getting repainted and I pick it up later today. I'll probably give them a shot first on my older car first to see how they do before I try them on the new, soft paint of my main car, on that one I'm being a little anal about what I plan on using to touch the paint. And FWIW, regardless of my impressions of this towel, it wouldn't prevent me from ordering anything else on your site that I was interested in. I appreciate your response.

Good luck with your move, I did that just a few months ago and you have my sympathy. ;)

Robs WW's get better the more you use them so ignore your first impression, as AlexRuiz mentioned earlier they need to be used and will get softer and thirstier (I experienced the same as him).

OK, I *finally* got around to trying out the WWs I bought. I had to wait for the car to be out of the shop and for the weather to cooperate at the same time. Like I said, my first impression when I received them was they were quite thin and not much WW texture. I'm happy to say that I found them excellent at removing the water, surprisingly absorbant for the thickness. Another thing I found is they seem better at blotting water without wiping than my previous fav (from a VERY limited arsenal of WWs), the Mequiars Water Magnet. I'm not sure if it's due to something to do with the fibers themselves or perhaps because of one of my previous criticisms, the relatively flat texture allowing more of the towel surface to contact the paint. I could lay the towel out across the paint, blot with very little pressure, and most all the water was removed from the surface. Having new, uncured, soft paint this is a great attribute.

At any rate, I take back my intial misgivings about the towel. Nice and soft, and works well. :2thumbs:

Sweet!

Just got my first tornado watch in my life! I now know what humidity is. I left the windows open for a few days and I asked my wife why is our couch damp? She said, "That's humidity!" I was told to leave the windows closed and run the AC. In CA., we have no screens and leave the windows open all the time so it will take an adjustment for me.
