No reason to be "ashamed" of driving around in a VW Beetle. Mrs. Clean drives one daily, a Turbo S (6-spd manual). She can leave most in her proverbial dust. Oh yeah, and I spend a fair amount of seat time in it as well. A pretty well built vehicle that has given us @ 7 years and @ 90k miles. If they had not messed with the styling over the years I wouldn't mind another. The Rabbit and GTI sport body styling that we will consider when we go to replace the Bug. It is no accident that VW's slogan is Drivers Wanted.

Actually they were out of loaners, and were going to rent me a car.
I whined a little about the fact that we were having a snow storm and wanted 4 wheel drive. The dealer tagged a used a4 and gave it to me.
