VW Owners...maybe some Audi Owners too

My dealership is pretty cool about it, other's not so cool.



I've got quite a few mods though, chip, full exhaust, coilovers.. intake blah blah blahhhhh. Then again, with all my mods I'm looking at 240 crank horsepower. Up from 180 (like your beetle).

That is exactly the impression I've gotten from reading some of the VW boards. Problem is ya' never know until it's too late.



Now the gas mileage question...How did the chip affect you mileage? I'm just now getting over the fact we have to burn premium fuel (read an extra $.20/gallon here in the D/FW area). Of course I knew that going in.
 
My gas mileage didn't change at all actually. I've always gotten sort of low mileage, though. My commutes are 3 miles each way to work... and some days that's all the driving the car gets. Typically, I get 260 or so to a tank(with short driving like that) I *HAVE* seen upwards to 370 on a tank (driving to DFW and Back in one day, and a few days around town after).
 
6 miles round trip commute? You're going to wear that baby out ;) I think her daily commute is about 40. I guess the gas prices don't really have a huge impact on you. We are hoping for the upper 20s since most of her commute is toll road driving ie. 65 MPH (or 75 to stay out of the way :eek: )
