VW Golf for WoW.

I started to clean up my car for WoW this weekend. I started off by clay barring the car. The next thing I am doing is compounding it with Optimum Hyper Compound with a medium cutting pad, then using Optimum Polish with a light cutting pad, then moving onto Menzerna Intensive Polish with a light cutting pad, and then using Menzerna Final Polish II with a polishing pad. After I get the whole car buffed and eliminate the scratches, I am going to do 3 coats of Zaino z5 with zfx, then 3 coats of Zaino z2 with zfx, and finish it off with Zaino Clear Seal. I'm just working on it when I have time. WoW is in 3 weeks.

Don't mind all the sensor dust on the photos.

In the pictures I did 1/4 of the hood.

Very nice work.

I love the Anthricite BBS CKs on the white. Such a nice contrast. What are you doing with the lights? Are you joey modding them? Adding smoked bumper markers. Man, you front would look so hot with a black grille, joeyed headlights and smoked bumper markers.

I am thinking the IP and OP are close enough that its not worth using both. What do you guys think?

Nice wheels!

Yeah, isnt that just wasting product? Seems like you could do OHC, OP and finish it up with that FP2 for a little more clarity if you wanted. IDK... Loving those rims though.

+1. WoW is a an acronym for World of Warcraft, lol. We only recognize it because we were/are addicted

Yeah, saw you guys on the episode of South Park. ;)

The Golf looks great already! :up

How much lighter of a polish is FP2 compared to OP/IP??? Car looks great BTW!!! :shocked

I was wondering if that was the case, but I wasn't sure. Would you suggest the optimum or the menzerna for a polish?

Might as well use Menzerna with a finishing pad for that extra appearance on the paint.

Can I ask what "joeying" your headlights is?

It is somewhat of a VW enthusiast made term. I am on a website called VWvortex.com. Some dude named Joey was the first to heat up the headlight and pull it apart. He then preceded to paint the inside of the light with black spray paint, all except for where light had to reflect. This added a completely different look to the front of his VW. He then scraped off all the old sealer and added new silicone sealant so no moisture would get inside. From then on, it was called the Joey mod.

I assume you can do this on any headlight as long as they have the ability to be pulled apart.
