vroom sheepskin wash mitt

Has anyone bought these yet? It seems like Baja Sol is no longer carried at Target. These Vroom wash mitts look the same as the baja sol ones except it now has a thumb.

I inferred from other discussions that Baja Sol has gone/is going away to be replaced entirely by Vroom. Sounds like the mitts you're talking about are all in that Eurow, TW, Viking "family"

Yep, for the locally avaiable mitts at least, sounds like they all buy from the same resource.

Yep, exit Baja Sol, enter Vroom. If nothing more,I like the name "Vroom" better; more of a car-like emphasis to it for sure.

Didn't buy one, but felt a few of them at Target, and they looked good to me. I would buy one if I needed one.

I have one I have been testing - quick impressions are quality sheepskin and durable if a bit on the heavy side. I like ExcelDetail's light ones a bit more for most work but this is a decent mitt for OTC.

I find durability sure seems to be enhanced by always drying sheepskin mitts in the dryer inside out. I have a wheel duty mitt that I purchased in 2003 that is still very usable.

I just picked one up last night, feels nice and soft. Now too see how well it holds up.
But it din't scan and the girl at the register asked if I knew how much it was so I told her "I think it was $3.99" :D
So for 4 bucks I guess I can't complain.

one quick question I always used chenille, how do I care for sheepskin?

TIA

With mine, I will throw them in the washing machine every couple of uses then dry them in the dryer on medium or low heat. Every use I will run them in the rinse cycle and put them in the dryer as well. It all depends on how dirty they get with each use. I can tell you, they come out like new every time.

I just washed my wheels one the other day. I quickly washed it by hand, rinses it thorughly and threw it in the dryer. After a washing session I will thoroughly rinse my mitts in my utility sink. If some got dirty along the way, I will machine wash them on delicate cycle. I machine dry mine inside out.

thanks for the quick replys.
Can I put it in with my MF when I'm washing them or is that not advisable.

Thanks,
"J"

On a trivial note, the Vroom mitts I picked up from Target were pretty stinky during the first wash.... like clothes-left-in-the-washer-for-a-week stinky. :) Cleared up after the first wash though.

Othewise, decent plushness and thickness, especially considereing the price. I've used better ones but at double the price so the Vroom mitts are a pretty good value, IMO.
