I'm tired of trying to bump the old thread. It's pretty dead, and the Hot-Tub has little traffic compared to a main forum.

Mods- this thread pertains to improving the cars, and it will possible be held in a garage. If you need to move it, then go ahead.

So. Being that we've already one-upped the WI/MN and GA guys by getting onto the homepage, what's next.

Who's in? Summer is coming up, and I no longer have any excuses for putting off the plans for this thing. I also just got the Makita, so I'm not waiting for anything either.

After 10 people tell me they'd like to do it, I'm calling around for locations. If you'd like to help by researching or volunteering your place of living, that'd be great. My place is kind of out of the way for most people unless you're willing to drive. A nice cruise of the boardwalk would of course follow the day :)

And...Go!

I'll know tomorrow whether I'll be in Nashville or DC this summer. If it's DC, I'm down for any VA locale, NOVA or otherwise. If it's Nash, I'll wait for the Rocky Top meets:)

I would love to if my work and summer class schedule permits. For me a weekend equals a no :( I work the weekends. I think it would be a good idea to find out who wants to attend and where the Majority lives and try for the area where the majority are.

Greetings,

I live just south of Richmond, Va and would be interested in attending a detailing day or "seminar". I would be willing to drive up to 100 miles in any direction.

Is this open to everyone?

What is the intended agenda?

Geared toward rotary or PC? (I only use PC)

Is this to educate and share knowledge, or just a bunch of old friends getting together to drink beer and tell stories?

Fee?

Sorry, but I couldn't tell exactly what this thread was about (even if it is right in front of my face). I'm not trying to crash a private party or invite myself someplace I'm not wanted.

BTW, I have been detailing cars for about 9 months now and I would appreciate a chance to learn the tricks of the trade from those who are more knowledgable and experienced.

Thanks.

I'm in Montgomery County, MD and willing to drive a couple of hours. I'm interested, but I can't give a definite answer until I know the date and location.

I'd be interested if it was held in NOVA.:up

I want to invest in a PC and wouldn't mind meeting some folks to get some tips. If anyone is in the NOVA area and wouldn't mind showing a rookie a few pointers, i'll bring the beer.

scamallite, im in ashburn and right down the road from you. Tdekany is also is Fairfax. The guy that owns the Olds Aurora is in leesbrug I believe.

I'm in montgomery county and you guys can use my place, I'm in bethesda, right off the beltway, and I have a driveway that can fit about 10 cars. We can grill out if the weather is nice. Here is a pic of what you will have to work with. Only time that won't work is 21-22 of may or when the NY meet is, looks like ealy june.

01bluecls....Let me know if you can ever find time to show me a few tricks/pointers. Good to hear there is a GM dealer on here too since I own a Grand Prix.

I know that tdekany, blkz28conv, and Aurora40 would like this too. I'll wait to add them to the list until they respond positively.

Open to everyone. If it's at a private residence, I assume the owner has the ability to only allow so many or certain people to come. This may/may not happen though.

The original agenda was rotary usage, wet sanding, and the PC will be easy to teach.

I intended it to be for learning, meeting other members, and beer isn't a bad idea. (Shh... ;) There are young people in this thread)

Fee- might only be one to share the cost of pizzas and drinks or the like.

Interior work can be covered also.

Ok, that's my ten. Jorburnet has offered his driveway. Joburnet- is this still ok for you? If not, I ask that people interested assist me in looking for a place by looking at different areas near them. Some req's would be power availiable, enough room to get around the car without squeezing yourself, possible sun cover (I have 1 or 2 E-Z Ups) etc.

Tools and stuff I can bring: extension cords, PC and pads, Makita rotary and pads, polishes and compounds, and any of my other products that anyone would like to try. I'd like to bring the Lexo, so it's all gotta fit in my trunk.

Thanks.

I'm excited to see some different products used and meet other detailing enthusiasts in the area. I don't see a date set yet...Next weekend i'll be in Detroit so I won't be able to attend if scheduled then.

It probably won't be until mid-June. I know I can't make any weekday trips to NoVa, because I have, you know, school :(

Plus, if we wait until June, I'll be able to drive to the event with an able bodied 18+ year old that has their own licence.
