Vinegar and QEW(or any other wash), how long have you been using it?

I know some people here use vinegar mixed with qew, or with their wahs solution to get out water spots, just wondering how long you guys have been using it and if you guys have ever experienced damage to the paint from long time use? I just tried it recently and while it worked very well, I'm worried about any possible long term damage. Anybody care to share their experiences?
 
I don't see a problem with a vinegar wash once in a while. It's the same with a dawn wash. Both are not that bad to do once. But if your going to do either every week, then something needs to be fixed.



yeah, so there would be long term damage with regular use, but none with using it a couple times. (You probably have to wax after it btw) The important thing would be to avoid the water spots in the first place so that the vinegar is not needed.

I don't normally use vinegar, but this car had really bad waterspots that weren't coming out. I remember seeing a couple of posts about it, so decided to give it a try, and it worked very well.
 
I used 1 oz QEW, 8 oz vinegar, and a little more than a gallon of water(my measuring mark on my bucket is a bit high, by 4-6 ounces).
