Vids of my snake vs mice

GF has a snake and feeds dead mice (frozen).

One day her snake (Unna) had a hard time eating a live one since it was so big, and now it's part of her pet, and she keeps it in a seperate cage.

It's cool to watch them eat, but nasty if the mice "burst" when they are being crushed. OH I hate touching the mice. NASTY!!

nASTY DUDE... so your telling me if i push your snake to the side and he takes it non playfully he wont attack me? My dog LOVES to be pushed around on my hardwood floor so that she slides EVERYWHERE. When shes really hyper i kick her (not like hard just to make her go half way across my room). If i kciked a damn snake the thing would take my foot off. And if my dog takes it badly (shes never done), she would grown maybe bite but her teeth arent THAT sharp and they wouldnt peice my skin.... much.

If something has to be contained in a cage because it would either run away or bite someone, then i wouldnt like it. My dog runs freely then comes back to me. If you let your snake out in your backyard would it come back to you?

The only reason i have a phibia of snakes is because when i was like 3 my mom went into a shed that was my great grandmas and almost gotten bit by like 4 copperheads and my dad ran in and killed all of them with a shovel... i will NEVER EVER touch a snake. Except for this cool huge yellow 1 that was at an earth day festival.

And therein lies the ignorance most people have of snakes. I have tried to get my snake to bite me and he won't. The only time he has EVER bit me was when I was feeding him. Completely my fault. I can do anything to him and he won't bite me.

why did you try to get your snake to bite you? See, the reason why you have a snake is the same reason you tried to get it to bite you... you have brain damage obviously :nixweiss :chuckle: :secret

:doh I wouldn't say trying to get him to bite me, I was just provoking him. I know it doesn't really hurt, so I didn't really care. He has no reason to believe I am food, so he has no reason to bite.

Do you get everything out of this?

I just don't see the point to watching something like that.

I know some people think its cool etc...

I'm just curios to what you think.

I have a question for you. Do you watch Discovery, Animal Planet, or National Geographic? If you do, you see the same identical things shown in Scott's video. Do you get squeamish about that? After all, it's just nature and the food chain.

Hey scott love the video, I have snakes also. I would recommend that you not feed the snakes with that bedding you have, I learned the hard way. The snake got some the bedding in its mouth and got infected $$$$ to the vet. I also agree to make sure you snake does not get bit by the mouse infections are easy.

Cheers,

GREG

Just wondering baseballlover1, what do you think would happen if you kicked a police dog? You think he would happily go flying across the room? I dont want to turn this thread up-side down but think about that alittle. There is nothing wrong with scotts snake, that thing wouldnt hurt a human at all. Im not sure why you kick your dog though?

And idk scott, when my cat gets ahold of a mouse its pretty much gone in a few seconds. Poor guy is getting pretty old now, Ive not seen him kill a mouse in along time. :(

I know exactly what would happened. I would be torn to shreds... thats why i dont have a police dog as a pet... however you do have a snake. Also, the police dogs are trained to respond to word (usually german). And again, im not stupid enouph to kick a dog that could kill me. Funny you mention police dog, my uncle is an officer and has tought me a couple commands for the police force's dogs. He had to use the sit one once while in pursuit of a criminal.
