Video: Acheiving a swirl free finish with Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut Compound

Very interesting for sure! To be honest, 105 can finish down on a lot of paints LSP ready if the pad is kept clean and the DA isn't jacked up on speed 6 on the last few passes. I am sure changing the pad can only improve on that

On speed 6 a DA has a lot of abrupt "starting and stopping" motion while on slower speeds it flows thru the curves of the DA motion much more smoothly. A great way to see this action is to apply a wax or sealant to half a hood on speed 6 then do the other half on speed 3 or 4. The pattern is much smoother on the slower speed. The smoother actions inturn leaves a glossier and more uniform/refined finish.

Well said! :bigups

First: Great video and explanation.

Second: I have had M105 finish down very well and will defiantly be trying this to see if I can get it LSP ready. Would guess on white and sliver this will work great for a 1 step.
