Very disappointed with Meguiar's M39 and M40 vinyl cleaners

I am very disappointed with look of surface M39 and M40 left when I tried to use them on "leather" seats in my Toyota MR2 Spyder. It seems both of them were doing cleaning part (I assume that based on how applicator looked afterwards), but I am not so sure about conditioning part. I mean after I was done surface looked "flat", which it wasn't when I started cleaning and conditioning.

Any ideas what happened? Was I expecting something this product doesn't deliver? If yes what would be best product out there for putting fresh, "wet", shiny look into those surfaces without being making them oily and slippery?

#40 is the anti shiney protectant. Most love it for its flat, factory type look.

Poorboy's Leather Stuff is kinda glossy but very dry to the touch....

Your negative review makes me wanna go out and buy this #40 dressing...

OK, then it behaved like it was supposed to. It's just that for some reason when I hear word "conditioning" I associate it with word "rejuvenating" and this didn't look rejuvenated to me. They didn't come flat looking from factory.

Thank you for the pointer. Anything even better/glossier from the top of your head? I will do intensive search of board later but right now my energy is low (I'm home sick).

Why? :nixweiss

BTW, they don't call it "dressing", they call it "cleaner/conditioner".

I believe joyriiide1113 is saying he likes the non-glossy look. (I do too.)

I’ve never associated conditioning with gloss myself. Apparently Meguiar’s doesn’t either. When I think of conditioning I think of restoring resiliency to dried out vinyl and protecting it from future deterioration.

PC.

Here is a pic from his post. If I remember correctly he applied it to everything. Those were the results.
