Using Megs stuff with Zaino ? Does this sound ok ?

Hi,



Could you please check my proposed routine? (Proposing to use a combination of Megs and Zaino products). Happy to change to other combinations / products if you think the end result will be better. (for me better means, deeper colour, shinny exterior, long lasting)



1) Wash car with NXT wash

2) Clay Car with Megs Quick Clay

3) Wash and Dry with NXT wash ( Not sure if this step is needed)

4) Using Porter Cable 7247 apply Megs #80

5) Wash car using Zaino car wash.

6) Dry Car

7) Apply Zaino Z2 Pro (3 coats) with ZFX



Have I missed anything? To many / to few steps ? Will these combination of products work well?

I'm not an expert on Megs products but I wouldn't trust #80 to be a proper surface for Z to bond to.Even with a Z7 wash. I'd probably dawn wash after #80 or use ZCP or even AIO has been known to work OK with Zaino.
 
I agree. After #80 you would probably need to do a Dawn wash or wipe down the car with alcohol/water mixture before going to Zaino. Another option, which would further refine the polishing process is to use Klasse AIO after #80. Then either using Z-6 or a Z-7 wash should be sufficient.

so what is is ZCP or AIO ?



Is Klass AIO the same as AIO ? is this a klasse product range ? ?

ZCP is the new Zaino polish.



AIO = Klasse All in One



Basically, you should ensure that the surface as no oily products on it prior to putting down a Zaino sealant (Z2Pro, Z5).



Personally, I think the Zaino wash is sufficient and I personally do not use Dawn any longer. I haven't found any decreased durability or bonding issue by simply doing a regular wash vs. a Dawn one.
