Used a whole bottle of SSR2.5 to polish my vehicle... too much product?

I am Not familiar with Poorboys SSR2.5 but "some times" you can use a spritz of detailer spray/water to fresh'n up the pad and help prevent the pad from becoming clogged with product....Be Very Careful Doing This because you WILL experience product sling if your not careful.

Just an Idea.

Not really the greatest idea. PB's products tend to break down faster and dust when doing this. I learned the hard when I first used SSR's. Since then, I've stopped prepping the pad and find the SSR's much easier to use.

You'll learn how to use the products as time goes on.

The whole bottle:eek:  . And I thought I used too much when I used about 1/4 bottle my first time out with ssr 2.5. I now use about 3 ounces, and thats when I use it with a cutting pad and then with a polishing pad. Your first application onto a dry pad you will need a little more, but after you load the pad it dosen't take much after that.

I say 2-3 oz average and up to 5 oz for a really bad car. Too much product used unless you made 5 passes on the car.

On my first PC try, I used about 3/4 bottle of my Optimum Polish.

Granted, it was chunky as heck, and wouldn't even squeeze out of the bottle so I had to unscrew the cap and pour it onto the pad.

Im gunna try pouring the rest into a container and mixing it up quite a bit.

On my first couple PC uses, I used too much product, and have since learned. It really don't take much. After you prime the pad (make an "x" or swirls), it just takes a few dots on the pad to do a small area. If you needed enough passes to use the whole bottle, you needed to get something more aggressive.

damn I am about out of my 80 and I have about 10 cars with it....at first I used too much product too....I went through abotu a 1/4 of it on my truck the first time out....then I realized that I needed to work it in longer to get the results and wasnt refilling the pad when the results were sub par....

Hehehe... My first try (about a month ago) I used half the bottle of SSR2.5, so don't feel too bad. I'm pretty sure most everyone uses WAY too much the first run. Plus ya gotta figure if the worst mistake you made that day was using up a whole bottle, you are still doing pretty good right? It's not like you tried to remove road tar with a scotch bright pad..... (have a friend who did this to his work truck, boss wasn't too happy) :)

From my experiences, I have done two fullsize trucks as well as several other odd jobs and have yet to reach the 1/2 bottle mark.

4oz per vehicle is what I seemed to use.
