+1 It's an old school hack, that and transmission fluid. Used to see things like that quite often at auctions and not limited to just bumpers, entire cars looking greasy.

:cry: i remember the trans fluid being smeared on by dealers at the auctions.

I remember looking at cars and telling other dealers that it's got trans issues and that's why it smells like trans fluid.:laugh:

There supposed to buff off the excess, not leave it all oily and greasy.
 
Guys

A marine plastic polish works wonders. Have 2 use 2000 or finer grit to "prep" the surface. Then use a good 3 step polish that you find in the "Marine" parts outlet.
