Use Collinite 476s before or after beauty wax?

I plan on detailing a family member's pearl white 2000 Maxima.

Here's my process:

PC

Wash and clay

1Z Paint Polish- white pad

I am going to use Megs 16 bc i read that it's amazing on white.

I want to also use 476s so that the car will be protected for a long time.

Do i use the 476s before or after the Megs16?

Will the 476s mute the pearl white paint?

generally, do u use a beauty wax before or after Collinite?

thanks

Waxes contain solvents that tend to dissolve or at least partially remove the bottom layer. I don't think you'll see a huge advantage to layering different waxes. I'd say more than likely whatever you put on top is going to determine both the look and durability.

I thought #16 was pretty durable by itself? Either way I'd put the #16 over the 476 or just do 2 layers of either ;)

I use both, those are my two most-used LSPs. I agree, pick one or the other.

Whenever I think 476S has muted my flake, it turns out that it was a *prep* issue...just needed better burnishing/final polishing. But still, #16 *does* look better on metallics and oughta be sufficient protection. I quit using 476S as the winter wax on my wife's silver A8 because it just didn't look as good as the #16 (yeah, she noticed :o ) and the #16 provides fine protection year-round.

You can apply some waxes over 476S with a minimal improvement in appearance (e.g., spit-shined Souveran), but all the stuff that makes #16 "the paste wax that turns liquid" might compromise the 476S unless you apply it a week or two *after* the Collinite.

I just purchased a tin of Collinite 476S the other day and used it on my wife's Explorer.

I did notice (like I have read some expensive, high end waxes do) that there was a lot of "sweating" after I parked the vehicle in the full sun.

Any ideas how to take care of that?

A wash takes care of that, follow with a qd after the wash if you like :)
