Amazing work Toto! I love reading your post and seeing the transformation. I get inspired every time I see your work.

Really nice work.

What's in the bottle in the reflection? Looks familiar.

That's just an accessory bottle (we get from AutoMagic I think) and I've got 3M Dark Glaze in it. Those bottles and the Meguiar's product bottles are great for working.

David: I haven't used any of the AM finishing products other than what the dealer orders which is Spoke (wheel acid), Magic Dressing, Body Shine (not a very good quick detailer IMO and I use is mostly for claying and wet sanding).

Totoland Mach- I'm late to this party (been in and out of town), but [insert usual :bow regarding work here].

Do you have an endless supply of the PI-III ECRC or are you gonna have to switch to something else at some point?

We have a great supplier of all the 3M stuff and recently switched from Dark Glaze to the Swirl Remover (they are both polishes, but the SR is there newer product and works better IMO).

Great work as always Toto! What paper/grit do you use when wetsanding?

Depends on what I'm trying to correct:

Heavy scratching: 2000 grit followed by 3M Trizact 3000 grit (that really lessens the use of compound and cutting pad to remove the sanding marks)

Medium Scratching: 2500 grit followed by 3000 grit for the same.

Light scratching: 3000 grit only.

the Trizact pads are VERY expensive and don't last long ($6 each), but they do incredible work and leave a very nice surface.

Toto, how do you get your product to stay on your car vertically like that? Does it have a dispensing nozzle or tip and you just press it up next to the paint (I'd be scared to scratch the car doing it that way), but I don't see how else you could get it on the car and stick like that and not like slowly drip down or just fall off because it wasn't put on hard enough? I dunno what I'm talking about, but yea, how do you get it on vertical panels like that and make it stick without damaging the paint in the process?

Well, I use the Meguiar's bottles or Auto Magic bottles. They are both like Ketchup bottles at the resturants with soft nozzle tips. I just swipe a line of product and wail away...after all, it's compound which is going to be put to use anyway.

Now, Meguiar's #83 is pretty thin and will run down a little, but compound and polish are thicker.

Hope that helps you...grab a ketchup bottle from a resturant and try it.
