Well I called the county code gut today and this is the info I got,

The trench has to be ATLEAST 48in deep and the water pipe has to be type L or k Copper. Also told me that the Cable and Data cables can run in the same trench.

So good news that it only has to be 48in deep, but I wanted to use plastic pipe. So here is the rundown.

70 feet 1in type L copper, about $70

70 feet 3in PVC, about $45

various fittings and valves and fittings about $30

100 foot of TV cable about $30

To rent the walk behind trencher is $75 for 3 hrs. I think we can do it ;) it is $130 for the day.

So $70

$45

$30

$30

$75

Little over $250 roughly.....

I think there is PVC made for conduit use underground. I know there is buriable electrical cable. I'm guessing this is true for coax cable also. I'd spend the extra $. The conduit might leak in the future. Also, remember to pull a nylon cord along with the coax. That way you can easily pull more wire later. Check with the building codes about the maximum diameter and size of cable you can pull through the conduit. I think it's 1/2 the size of the conduit diameter.
