update: Broke down and wet sanded! FINISHED THE PAINT FINALLY!!

Hope you don't mind my asking a newb question but when I saw those last before and after shots I had to ask - how did you clean up the paint in and around the emblem (especially the small triangular areas of paint w/in the emblem itself)?

Thanks, and that's a really impressive detail job!

Thanks!! I'm a newb too!! ....... Actually on the other side, I removed the emblem, then re-attached it. On this side, I decided first to see how good I could get it. And the results are shown.

After a good cleaning.... a nice shot of Bleach White tire cleaner and a scrub brush took care of most of the dirt. I only wet sanded around the emblem and just did my best with polish on a rag with my fingers inside the emblem. But the brush took care of most of the dirt in and on the emblem... :xyxthumbs

Thanks for the reply! I've run into this problem w/ badges before and was curious to find out how you did such a great job restoring the paint w/ this car. Appreciate the info.
