Underrated products.

What products perform well for you that you don't see too many others using?

My list would be:

1. Clearkote's Carnauba Moose. Really nice liquid carnauba, noticable darkening effect and decent durability. Lately, I've been using it a lot more than Pinnacle Souveran.

2. Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze. Great product for removing light (on harder paints) to moderate (on softer paint) defects and it leaves a deep, wet shine.

3. Optimum Protectant Plus. Excellent low shine protectant that is suitable for vinyl and leather.

4. BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner. I can't say enough good things about this carpet/fabric cleaner. 32:1 dillution ratio means a $23 gallon will make 32 gallons of cleaner. So effective, I can spray a lot of light surface stains, allow a couple minutes of dwell time and the stains are gone. Just a light wipe with a terry cloth towel and run the vacuum over it and done!

5. Poorboy's EX w/Carnauba. Absolutely bullet proof to use in the full sun, straight up noon on black paint. Not my ideal waxing conditions but it spreads easily and wipes off effortlessly even under those conditions. Nice compromise between the look of a sealant and that of a carnauba.

Never tried #80 how would you compare to #7??

I used mothers reflections liquid and can't say i've found a better shine or ease of use ever. I think i like it better than the Carnuba paste.

I agree, I love #80.. Easy to use, cheap to buy. My got to product.

I like the Meg's yellow pads also.

The 3m Performance Finish really looks great and easy to use.

It gets slicker by the next day and holds up well for 2-3 months easily.

I like the Duragloss FCS #921 also.

PoorBoys Bug Squash seems to work best for me getting rid of those bugs.

Fk1 108, my favorite dressing/protectant for anything interior/exterior/engine thats plastic/rubber. $36/gallon.

FK1 1000P, reflective, durable, easy to apply/remove, $16/16 oz.

1000p aint under rated. ;)

Maybe not under rated. But rarely used from what i see.

Hi-Temp Prep Wash. Amazing to use after polishing to remove any residue left over and cleans the paint very very well for a cleaner fluid or such.

Still loving that bi-o-kleen cleaner eh? I agree with you on megs, speed glaze is also body shop safe if i am not mistaken. It imparts a level of protection for about 2 weeks to a month. I find it indispensable for repainted bumpers and hoods.

7 is nearly 40 ears old, I prefer 80 over 7. Honestly it is worth picking up a quart to try. just put it in a ketchup bottle to use. drop the quart and it will break.

my underated products

1z metalic polish and wax. My go to one step.

1z Glanz wax as easy as fmj, more durability for seattle weather and a better wax look.

swiss wax cleaner fluid, much easier than HD cleanse.

Megs NXT - Don't know if it really fits the criteria but it takes a lot of flack around here and I still like it. I seem to get better durability than most mention around here, though.

Megs Speed Glaze - Ditto what Scott said. This stuff is great on single stage paint.

Mothers Powerpolish - Awesome stuff. A lot like #80 with a polishing pad but #83 like correction with a yellow pad. Finishes down nice and doesn't dust either. Did I mention you can get it at Autozone?

Mothers FX - Better than NXT if you ask me, and I'm am NXT fan. The spray is awesome as well and just a notch below Aquawax. Can't wait to try the Reflections line.

Mothers California Gold Car Wash - I like this stuff more than Megs Gold Class & NXT. Only car wash I like more is Duragloss CWC.

4* SMR & MCC - Great products! It's hard to believe they aren't discussed more often around here. SMR has a shorter work time than OP but it cuts faster and finishes down very nicely. Ditto the above when comparing MCC to OC.

Amor All Original - I only use it as a tire dressing (thanks for the inspiration, Scott) but it works very well for that purpose. It's cheap and the durability seems to be on par with most water based dressings.

I think Wolfgang Polish, Sealant and Finishing Glaze are underrated. Such easy application, nice soft look compromising reflection and gloss. I have read about durability not being at par with other sealants but IMO 1-2 months is all an enthusiast needs! LOL Who can withstand a month without apply another coat!

Second... Optimum Poli- Seal! To me this product is great. Let’s take my Cobra for example. I keep it pristine but it is always inevitable that slight swirls will happen from washing/drying. Same goes for my daily drivers. Sometimes (Most of the time) it is hard for me to find time to hit it with a swirl remover, a polish then a wax. One pass with Poli-Seal on a white pad and I am done! Using a 4" pad on speed 6 will actually knock out quite moderate swirls. The combination of slight abrasives, cleaners, fillers and a sealant is a major time saver for me.

I think most of the 1Z lineup is underrated, except for maybe Cockpit Premium, which has always been fairly popular. Same is true with Mother's products.

I'd also include Jeff's Werkstatt Satin Prot.

We are open ears. What do you use it for?

I know I use it for spraying it on my Microfiber towels before I toss them into the washer. I use it to just mist them to get a little extra cleansing.

Have not heard of that one. I'm going to try it. Thanks for the idea. :)

Actually there are no fillers in poli-seal, the results you are seeing is what you get.

In the description ona utogeek it actually specifically states no fillers, so it is actually working even better than you expected!
