Undecided on which exterior trim and rubber protectant to choose

Hard urethane hey.

There are so many different types of trim moldings, some polishable with non abrasive glazes, some not at all, some soft, hard, smooth, textured, non porous, slightly porous and not uv stable and vice versa.

Gummi fledge is for soft door seals on the inside of the doors and selected hood seals like on yours.

It is a cleaner and protectant by the way.

It's possible that glazes and non abrasive polishes would do the trick but it could be a costly exercise to find out.

I've had terrific results with permagard, glare pro polish, fireglaze on many of these and sealed them with either one of those three

Ultima sounds like just the product for them if the above don't work

Prima nero's also a fantastic product.

Thanks for the help so far everyone. The Utltima sounds like a good product, but I think I'll try something else first. It's a little more than I want to spend for the minimal use I will need it for. If nothing else woks to my linking, I'll definately try it out.

I've been thinking of trying 1Z Einszett Vinyl Rubber Care and Protectant since it's not supposed to wash off. Is it a harsh cleaner at all? What do you all think of it? I figure it would work good both on the rubber and plastic trim. How does it compare Pinnacle rubber & vinyl protectant? Thanks

Sounds like maybe you have the same type of trim I have on my Bonneville. It's shiny like a painted surface, but you can feel it's a hard rubber. I was waxing the roof on mine and got some on the trim and when I tried to wipe it off with a microfiber it actually marred the trim. Virtually anything seems to marr it. I did do an experiment last weekend on it because it has a lot of crap bonded to it. I used the Sonus ultra fine clay to remove contaminants, and then sealed it with Collinite 845. The clay did marr it slightly, but the liquid wax helped shine it up pretty good. I would suggest testing a very small area if you try Back to Black or a similar product. That one didn't work when I tried it.
