Ultimate Quik Wax: Sealant?

I have stuck with AW since it does what I want it too.

agreed, simply put... i love AW! i just got another gallon not too long ago and not to mention it's more cost efficient. UQW is still not a bad product by any means...

So does UQW attract dust? I may apply it to my Volk Wheels after applying KSG.

No, actually it seems to do well to not attract and hold dust. That said, I use Quik Wheel Detailer on my wheels. Much slicker and sheds brake dust really well.

I have and use both the DAW and UQW. I used both the same way, spray it on a section, spread it around with my mf towel, then flip the towel and buff it out.

Both work great and smell good to me. Both are fantastic products. I might stick with uqw since it is readily available at wal-mart etc..

And I agree, if I am going to take the time to spread it around with a foam applicator and let it haze, i will use a regular paste wax

So can I layer a Sealant over UQW? Its the main reason I asked if UQW was a sealant base.

The answer is maybe. Some sealants, like Zaino won't stick over other products well. Yet you could apply M21 or NXT 2.0 over UQW ok. UQW is intended to be a maintenance product I believe. It is meant to be applied after your regular washings and this will keep your car freshly waxed and repelling dirt. Ever notice how your car sheds dirt right after waxing? UQW restores that slickness.

I believe the suggestion from Mike P is to use a MF to spread, allow to haze, wipe off.

Even allowing for hazing time a paste wax would take ten times as long.

Even if the official application method (ie optimal results) requires a very short drying period (Which doesn't really add time, apply to one panel, move to the next and apply, then jump back and remove from the previous...no time lost...), the product has been tested by many (including myself) to give several weeks MINIMUM protection with undeniable water sheeting and beading from a WOWO method.

In other words, for those who are really hung up on not being able to WOWO, you can. Meguiar's is simply stating that you will likely get BETTER results with their method.

Would this be worth using if I use FK1 425 daily? Basically what I am asking is if UQW is something I could apply like every 2 weeks to a month, but still use 425 to maintain it? Is UQW even worth using in my case?

What UQW leaves behind is more substantial than what any detailer spray will. so yes, using UQW once or twice a month after a wash would be a great idea.
