jfelbab I wonder if it would be fun to put this stuff and a few other QD's in generic bottles and let a group use them and report which they like and don't like. Seems like once people know who makes something their attitude changes toward the product. Both for good and for bad.[/QUOTE said:I totally agree and I 100% believe this goes for waxes too. Seeing people pay $100-$1000+ for a wax that I would bet my left arm will basically produce the same results as a $10 or $20 wax is INSANE! At that point it's just about bragging you bought xyz product. Just my opinion of course.

I like several things about this QD. For me, it makes keeping bugs off the paint a joy. It goes on and wipes off very easily and streak free in any temperature or humidity. It does seem to last through a couple washings for me but no more than two. Yet, I can't fault a QD for not having the durability of a sealant or wax. I do get intense water beading and very fast sheeting with this QD. Better than my Z8 in that regard and cheaper too.
But, I still think $10 for a QD is ridiculous. I also have read that you should not use this product as a clay lube so it is not at all like a conventional QD. It seems more like mild booster product like Z8 although it is clearly not as slick as Z8. For the record I think $20 for a QD is ridiculous too. :lol
I like it enough to use it during the buggy season and it adds enough pop to use after those times I'm forced to use a touchless wash. I like it better than Z8 mostly due to it's price advantage, availability and water aversion. If it were $5-$6, I'd be really more impressed.

I must say, your position on the subject is shared by many, many, many people; we are all completely freaking wacked out of our brains to be spending this much on a car wax. OK, we get it. But you know what? You're opinion is exactly that: an opinion that is not based on experience with the product. Would it be fair for me to say that I have never tried Zaino, but I know it sucks and isn't worth the price, if I hadn't ever used the product? You may want to reserve your final judgement until you have had experience with the product, cause until you have, your opinion has no basis.
I guess people that drive Ferraris and other exotics are also out of their minds, cause there ain't no way a Ferrari can be worth that much more than a Chevy?
Yup, I'm sounding miffed cause i am. I'm so tired of hearing this over and over. Your point has been made, thank you very much, now move on to your next opinion, OK?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go enjoy some of my EIGHTEEN HUNDRED DOLLAR CAR WAX!
