I've been using Klasse AIO for quite some time and i recently came across Ultima PGP and i just have a few questions... Is it really worth it? Can i just apply it after a wash or will i have to prep the paint? I have dark-grey metallic paint in near great condition with very little swirls. Sorry if these are newb questions.... i searched the forum but couldn't find anything! Thanks!

I like it so far, but haven't used it long enough to know about long-term durability. Like Danforz mentioned get the sampler pack and you'll have everything you need including a sample of the wash, the Ultima Paint Prep Plus (recommended for best results), plenty of UPGP for several applications, and the Ultima Detail Spray Plus.zachf88 said:

I like it more than any other sealant I've tried. It really is easy to use - I used it on a fully prep'd new car and also over a 3yr old Honda with pretty good paint that was already wearing Jeffs stuff.
I like the ease of use, wet finish and i think its good value as you use sooo little. It doesnt bead as well as the Zymol wax I usually use, and isnt quite as good at sheeting water after a wash, although still pretty good. For me the ease of use and 9/10 looks really make me think the old waxing routine no longer justifies the time, effort and extra cost, but I still keep wondering....
I actually used it today for the first time on a solid colour - a 1969 MGB that is my garage queen, after a serious machine polishing. I did one fender as a test, as i thought the light solid colour would only look good with a quality nuba, but it looked stunning and wet after just one quick coat, so the car is going to get a few layers of this in the next few weeks

I think PGP is worth it, I have been a Klasse user on all three of my cars, and tried the Ultima line on my 04TL dark grey and found it is easy to use and my car is slick and wet. I just detailed a Tahoe with Ultima and the owner absolutley loved the results. Durability is the question but I am pleased so far.

I thought that the UPGP took alot away from my prep work on my black Volvo. I polished 2x with 106FF and white pad and then 2x with PO85RD and a blue Sonus SFX-3 pad. I only had very slight marring to correct so I was trying to achieve as much gloss and reflection as possible. Right from the first coat of UPGP I could tell that the reflections were much much clearer and sharper BEFORE I put the UPGP on. Additional layers only muted the reflections more. I waited at least 14 hours hours between coats and wiped down with the detail spray before putting on the next layer. I put 4 layers on the tops and 3 on the sides. I also felt that my black paint lost some of its 'blackness' with each layer. I could see a very slight 'graying' with each layer. I just do not think that the UPGP is clear enough.
I have quite a lot of experience with WOWA products Z-CS and Opti-seal, so applying the UPGP correctly was not an issue. All 3 are a cinch to use. Complaining about the application of any of these 3 is just plain nit picking. Z-CS is the clearest and most reflective. OS is wetter looking than ZCS but UPGP is wetter and slicker. What I like about ZCS the best is its self leveling. The surface always seems smoother and flatter after ZCS has cured and that is why I have been using it as my base before applying Z2/Z5. The UPGP kind of did the opposite for me. The smooth polished paint did not appear as level when the UPGP was put on. The reflections took on a shimmery effect.
I do think that UPGP has very nice gloss and looks very wet. It is also very slick so far (it's only been 2.5 weeks). Its a soft feeling slickness instead of super slippery. I think that DavidB is just wrong about UPGP knocking the socks off of Souveran, at least on my black car.

I like the optics of OOS better.
Well i can say that i am happy with the pgp but i do agree with djbailey because my black range rover now has a sort of brownis tint to it. When the sun is shining you can really see it. But this is the first wowa product i have tried so i dont have anything to compare it to. Overall i am pleased with the results but i just wish it either darkened the paint a little or it didn't have that brownish tint to it. I cant comment on durability becase i have been using it every 2 weeks for the last 2 months, its that easy. Is there anyone who can compare the looks with zaino?

mparker30...My black car looks better with Zaino Z-5Pro and Z-8 than it does with UPGP. Although Z-5 is not a WOWA. UPGP is slicker & wetter looking than Z-CS (first version)

Exactly. The only other sealent i have tried is the KSG but it was to reflective and it didnt have that tint to it. I have also used p21 and soveran but it darkened the paint which i liked but no durability. You can really tell the difference on the front and back bumpers. I wonder why it does that?

Well, that has nothing on it at all. That's a picture that was taken after a 50/50 wipe down to show the owner what the dealer wax job was hiding. I noticed this with most any "jet black" car that I see.

Correction hasn't been done yet so it just got a quick coat of AW to that area. I will post pictures when it does get the correction work done though.
Well when i had KSG, soveran or p21 it didn't have that tint to it. I have posted my first click and brag but the pics didn't come out to good. But if you look its there. I guess the pgp just amplified that effect a little more. I still have and use the pgp just to get ready for the winter. I like the product, its just I wish I didn't have that effect on it when i know it doesn't look like that with other waxes.
