UK Question

I say plugs/sockets too, Jesstzn has supplied great pics and details and a great price. It keeps the package light, so cheap shipping.

My transformer came today :D even better, it works too :D

For the sake of a few quid, I'll have a couple of plugs as well. Wasn't to fussed about the whole extension lead thing but this I could just put together when the mood takes me or I have the time :). Let me know any costs Tony if your buying for the group.

Cheers.

Sorry, worded it wrong......

Should read more along the lines of let me know costs if the group are buying... If that makes sense? :).

Basically just want to know if it's all worth while...It hasn't bothered me having to move the transformer around while I'm doing the car so far......

- What Alex said -

If we're doing it then I'll take relevant plugs, sockets etc. Just let me know cost involved

If we are all decided on plugs & sockets then I think this is the List:

Jim

Tony

Alex

Andy

Craig

Have I got that right?

Can we now just post on the thread on Detailing under my thread requesting help from US Autopian.

I'll post on there now & ask if some kind soul will get us 5 sets of plugs & sockets.

Let me know via PM if any changes

Right then - hold on!

I've just received an email from David at Autopia. He's willing to go to his local hardware store and get the extension cords for us.

He can get 25, 50 or 100ft cords, but recommends the 25ft cord to keep shipping weight down. He's estimated an all-in cost of approx. $20 for one extension cord (I emailed him before I thought about a group buy). That's approx. £12 GBP. I don't reckon that's much more than getting all the components separately.

And if we all email him with our orders separately he will obviously ship them all separately - with each package at a value of approx. $20, it won't attract the attention of our friends at C&E.

I'm gonna get the complete cord from David - support Autopia and all that!

If you guys decide on the connectors only route then I'll still have a set (might come in handy at a later date!).

I've sent David an email to tell him to go ahead and get me one extension cord.

He's already replied, Holly who works there is going to go out tomorrow and get one.

So all you other UK Autopians, get in there quick so she can get them all at the same time. Just ask for the same spec that Craig has ordered, we should all get the same then, unless you want a different length?

RESULT!

Hi guys, as we know PC7424 is similar to the MG DA Polisher (G-100A). I would like to know whether MG DA Polisher comes along with the Velcro backing plate, since it's priced more expensive than the PC7424, and also it'll be used with MG pads (W-8006/9006) which is Velcro-able too. Thanks!

I'm beginning to wish I never started this extension cord frenzy!

So is David I bet! :D

Although in my eyes, he is rapidly becoming the king of customer service! :bow

Not forgetting Holly aswell. :bow

I just wish more companies in the UK were as helpful - 10 out of 10 Autopia. :xyxthumbs

BTW, zey... take a look at the current thread that's going on with regards to the differences between the 7336 and 7424 - might be interesting for you.

Also, I believe the Megs DA is actually made by Porter Cable, just has a Meguiars sticker on it instead of a Porter Cable sticker. I have a feeling that the PC is cheaper than the Megs version.

Quote: Yes, you are right Pugoman, the Meg's DA is a restickered PC.

~One mans opinion / observation~

Actually besides the different sticker Megs PC has a lifetime guarantee (this might be a consideration if you have any problems you deal with a local as opposed to shipping it to US)

Just a thought

~Hope this helps~
