I think that's actually true depending on the slickness of two different paints. Say a 96 Integra never detailed compared to a 01 Integra detailed reguarly. I'm pretty sure drag coefficient results have concluded this is true.

Like the Stealth Bomber. They wax taht thing like every day... that's why it's so fast and can't be detected.

uh I know it is a joke but the stealth is not very fast both the B2 and F 117 are subsonic

I like to think my car performs better when it's detailed. Whether there is any difference whatsoever...I cannot say.

Undoubtedly, the aerodynamic styling of the vehicle determines 99.9% of the drag coefficient.

There was an audio clip a while back that was all over auto forums. It was a clip about how a guy waxed his Iroc Camaro so well that the speed detecting radars would bounce off. Then he went into saying that the military waxes the Stealth Bomber like everyday to keep it so "stealthy". :D

Don't you just love Mishicot, Paul? :D We rag on Mishicot residents so bad when we see them....like the fact that the only place to get your hair cut is called Darla's Country Hair Care...oh that just cracks me up (we like to think that there's a sign saying "Tractor Parking In Back.")

Even if he didn't, the 3.3L V6 in the ES 330 (and my Solara ;) ) is no slouch.

And my Sienna :D

Except... when rolling around 10MPH and you accelerate... ahh, the beauty of a sudden jerk and off you go! But in the Sienna, it's been much better after I did a little fix.

I also think it's true that a clean car results in less drag. You know the slicker the paint and all. It's similar to the arguement I heard against front license plates in NJ. Cars aren't designed to be driven with front plates and thus, drag coefficient is increased which is bad.

 Probably true. If anything, it'll look faster:chuckle:
