Ugh, Bird Sh!t!!

Found a bird bomb on my car today which couldn't have been there for more than an hour, so I immediately grabbed the QD from the car and removed the dropping. Wouldn't you know it, now I've got a permanent remnant of said bird dropping!! WTF!? I am so ticked off with this crap paint on my car. Just about everything that touches it leaves a permanent mark or requires machine removal. Subaru finally responded to my initial inquiry, so we'll see what happens. I'm not holding my breath though.

wow that sucks. I've never heard of that before. Normally it wouldn't do much damage if it were on there for a few hours. Must have thin paint
 
In my car kit I keep in my truck I have ... S+W, S+G, Bird Sh*t Remover, Scratch X , mf apps, tiny container of p21s, and some MFs. When you see a bomb you can wipe it off and then with scratch x you shoudl be able to remove by hand pretty quickly with some work of the old arms. Top that with a wax and your set.

It all depends on the bird too and what they have been eating. I've had sparrow bombs sit on the paint for over a day and came right off, and I've had seagull bombs that I removed in under 5 min and left a lasting scar on my wonderful GM paint.....

Sometimes I think the birds here on Long Island are eating toxic waste.....
 
That sucks! I've been lucky on the bird droppings. Haven't had any damage done or anything that didn't come out. Knock on wood after saying that though! lol
