U.K. "Holts" products

Could any U.K members tell me if "Holts" (or "Holt") products are made by a well-known British company? Here in Japan, all the chain shops carry "Holts" products (with a prominent Union Jack printed at the top), and in fact dominate the shelves for misc. detailing products, from compound to chrome polish, and bumper putty to body clay.



The packages say that they are licensed by Holt Products, Ltd (U.K), but appear to be produced here. I was just curious; thanks.

Judging from their product list , it looks like they are the makers of Simoniz products. Probably just labeled differently overseas. There was a recent thread discussing Simoniz here at Autopia.

I have seen Holts products here in the UK.



Never given them more than a passing glance and have never tried them, but they do seem to have a HUGE range of stuff.



As for are they made in the UK? - dunno, sorry

Holt Lloyd Products were originally a UK company, now wholly owned by Honeywell Inc.

I used them years ago & was never impressed.

They do appear to be a big player in the UK that your "average" weeked DIY car cleaner would use. There products do dominate some of the chain auto supply shops but are not really a premium product if that is what you are looking for.
