I was contacted a few months back about doing a detailing day for a local SVT club. Rick, the gentlemen who contacted me obviously had a passion for detailing, and wanted to share this with his club members. The day was a great success and was very enjoyable.
Goals: Teach how to use the porter cable buffer and stress prep over LSP (last step product.)
Result: Although the porter cable does have its limitations, I would say we removed a good 90% of the scratches on this paint and eliminated the swirls. The group was fantastic and learned that all of the prep work (polishing) made for the best overall end appearance.
Upon arrival, I set up my gear and washed the car. Several members helped dry the car. Thanks guys and girls!
We started with a power point presentation covering a full exterior detail.
-Wash
-Clay
-Polish
-Protect
-Maintain
After the presentation, we split up and performed each step on the lucky detail winner’s vehicle. (Mach 1 mustang).
