Its been one week since I detailed my parents corolla. It went through a light shower and a pouring shower in that one week. It was driven once (wednesday) for the whole day, then it rained and was driven home.

I did not buff the Tw tire gel, It was let to dry on the tire for about 4 days before being driven. NO sling! Just a nice dressed tire.

One week later.

Very nice healthy glow. Like an application of Lexol Vinylex. I think by next week it'll look like 303.

The car is driven once a week. Its holding up really well. A great product. NO dust attraction. Its dry to the touch. Not greasy.

I am happy with this TW product,

Jason

Well I couldn't find the product.

www.autobarn.com ha it though, do I see DETAILKING getting 2 cases of this gel, C'mon DK you need it :D

Thanks for the bottle!
Jason

PS Gave up trying to find my bottle of Klasse SG, just freaking bought a bottle last month. Then this water restriction comes form the Mayor and the Earth! Give me the rain for a week, re-fill the resevoirs (sp?), make NYC Autopian's happy!

I couldn't believe my eyes today, I went to a local AutoZone (Memphis, TN) and there it was TW 2001 Tire Gel. I picked up a bottle ($4.99) and some A2Z and left happy only to realise later it was stupid not to buy another one (last on the shelf). They still have Rain-X wheel protectant and probably other discontinued stuff. Well, it is open tomorrow and only couple miles away...

Back when DK was first mentioning this stuff I ran out and got some. It is a very good X-Mart type product. I found a few bottles on clearance at Wal-Mart last fall and bought them all. I live in an area where almost all the stores rid themselves of exterior car care products for the winter so I can get really great deals.

This stuff beats the daylights out of the Meg gel tire products. And can get the Ghetto shine going on or buff down to satin black.

This stuff can be hard to find though.

If you buff after applying, how does it look then. The initial look is to shinny for me but the satin finish looks ok and this product is for sale in the UK

Steven

It gets a real satin like look when buffed down. If you can find it buy it. Buy lots of it. For the price its very good. I can't seem to find it anymore.

I was in Michigan a week ago and bought some. Tried it and it's been through two rainy days. Tires look great (not too glossy) and I really like the way it stands up to the weather.

I can see this becoming a favorite as long as it's still available. Now I want to get out and find some more. Really a good product and easy to use.

The gel is still on there, but much more matte now. There is no shine to the tire, just a nice clean black look to them.

My thumbs up to TW tire gel 2001.

Steven - I saw the TW extreme tire dressing before, like in a dark beige metallic bottle with dark green top or something. I never tried it but maybe someone can chime in.

Another good product like that gel is the meguiars high gloss tire shine. I put mine on last week i drivre it every day and has still left a nice black shine. THe good thinkg about it is every time apply it it gets shinyer and shinyer. I use an applicator pad to apply i and i apply two coats good product.
