TW new black box

While everyone is ripping on Turtle Wax, remember who is the distributor of the CD-2 Engine Detailer you rave about. :D

But they didn't formulate it, correct?
Very unlikely which is why I listed them as the distributor.
I really have no idea what products in their line they actually manufacture.
I would guess that many of the products are manufactured by companies that they have acquired rather than being part of the original Turtle Wax corporation.
While I am not a fan of TW, they are certainly a big player in the market. They are very big in commercial products as well.

My personal experience with their products has been limited.
>A white polishing compound years ago. Kind of a very mild rubbing compound that worked OK.
>A paste vinyl top treatment back in the 80s that seemed to work fine.
>Their Tar Remover. Worked OK, probably aromatic petroleum distillates like many.
>The original green "Hard Shell Finish" liquid wax back in the 50s. I thought it was suppose to take 3 towels to remove all the residue and that you were supposed to have to wax every week to keep your car looking good. :D
>The Zip car wash which I used for wheels for years. Cheap, seemed to work.

No TW fan here either. That said, I'll bet I could take their products and turn out a finish that many would be proud of. It's just like has been said a dozen times before, 80% of the outcome is procedure and the other 20% comes down to product (I'm one that believes product plays a little larger role than others). Now that I've said all of that I'll let you all know I'm not rushing out to buy this product, I'm perfectly happy with what's in my cabinets and lots of it is PB's. :D

TW musta read my posts about how the dealer swirled my car, so they made it just for me.
