TVR Track Day [56K - OK 4 mins or so]

OK well not quite a detail job, and I have to be honest detailing the Sagaris would probably be the most impossible task :)

Well, on (Saturday 9th) I was lucky enough to visit Oulton Park, a race track in Cheshire in the UK. This was no ordinary track day though, it was in fact a TVR track day, and we were there in a Westfield racing around the circuit with all of these monster TVR's.

Two of these cars took my eye, the first because of its paint job, I can now say that this car is a T350C and there is a great site here which shows several of them and how they are made, and some interior shots of the car and engine ... http://www.sleepy-fish.com/t350c.htm. That is not a camera versus sun reflection you are seeing, that is the actual colour of the car, this thing is amazing, and looks a different colour at different angles.

The second of the cars is the Sagaris, and this is unbeievable up close. I spoke to the owner who ordered the car 4 months ago, and now has it in his possession, however and he was most frustrated about this, he couldn't run it above 3,000RPM as it was still being run in, and he was bursting to get this thing on the track. Apparently these cars (unlike almost all other TVR's) handles like a dream as it was designed by the Nobel engineer

Apparently you can have the Sagaris upgraded, this would take the car up to 600BHP!!!!!!!!! In a car weighing less than a 1000 KGs!

For those of us who clean cars, I noticed that it had a 'clear bra' going all around the bottom half of the car, basically my photos don't do the paintwork justice, but when you see the paint job you will realise that the owner did the right thing having this fitted, as a small tin of spray paing from your local halfords is not going to patch this up no way!

Anyway, I thought you wouldn't mind looking at these pics of these most unusual (even in the UK) cars from Blackpool. Enjoy them.

Wow, 400 hp on a 2200 lb car, you could say that's more than enough, but I think I'd be greedy and go with the upgraded 600 hp. As if I'm in the position to make that choice. :doh

The Sagaris looks a little darker, and I don't know if that's the paint just playing tricks. Is it blue or silver? Either way, very beautiful cars - thanks for posting.

Hot Wheels toys for grown ups!!

This was tested on TG last night wasn't it?

Nice work on a niiiiice car mate - assume that's got one of the TVR flip shades?

I thought people like yourself might appreciate these cars, you are welcome

Yes you are exactly correct Griz, the sagaris is blue, but it looks a different shade of colour from every angle, it even looks silver from certain angles, the first car is actually silver, but that really catches your eye, no need for Zaino to make that silver pop! :)

Yeah the power in these things is incredible, that Sugaris is 0-60 in 3.8 seconds! Imagine it with a 600BHP engine :soscared:

Wow...I can't imagin detailing that Sagaris.

Exactly, imagine that, all those slots and that front panel actually drops right down to the engine! (I couldn't pursuade the owner to lift the lid to get a shot of the engine, but I could see through the slots that it was RED and VERY BIG!)

Yep one of those 'flip shade' paint jobs, really I didn't do them any justice with my limited camera skills both of those cars were absolutely astonishing to look at .... I didn't detail them Andy :)

those cars are really nice! I wish they were available in North America

Aren't they just fantastic, I believe the reason they won't be allowed for sale in the states is because they do not have ABS, nor Air Bags of any description!

nice pictures. in Gran Turismo 4, you can see the different colors you can get with certain TVRs. cool. and i love the exhaust pipe on the sagaris. :brit

Sounds like a day well spent there Axe,petrolheads dreamday.

I`m due to go around Oulton on Aug 18th.
