Tuscarora Dave Detailed Dodge Dakota

"Luck" Residue of design
What a beautiful day for detailing! I did an exterior only on this Dodge Dakota today.

This customer was nice enough to wash this one for me, I wish they all would do that.
I actually was able to get away with just using PB Spray & Wipe before I got busy polishing this one.

This truck was in pretty good shape, it even passed the plastic baggy test so I didn’t even have to clay this one.
I was trying for about 90% correction on this truck so I did a test spot on the hood using my Makita rotary with PB SSR 2.5 on a Purple Foamed Wool pad (very nice pad), after priming the pad I ran 4 passes at speed setting #3.

Next I used PB Polish with sealant on a 6” green light cutting Edge 2K foam polishing pad, for this step I used my Meg’s G110V2 doing 4 passes on speed setting #6. This worked well so I did the rest of the truck using the same process and product except for the window pillars and the cap I used a 4” Cyclo Double precision (Edge 2K) orange medium cutting foam pad and M105 for the cutting passes.

After the cutting pass and finishing pass I washed the truck using PB Super slick and wax to remove all the dust and polish residue, followed by a coat of PB Natty’s blue.

The wheels and tires were cleaned using PB Spray & rinse wheel cleaner with light agitation using a Carrand wheel brush. The wheels were then coated with PB Wheel Sealant and tires and wheel wells dressed with PB Bold & Bright.

All rubber and plastic trim was treated with PB Trim Restorer both before polishing and between washing and waxing.

I spent 13 hours working on this truck today, that is including a 45 minute break for some Papa John’s.

All the remaining photos are after the job was completed and the sun had already gone below the horizon so there will be no more sun shots. This job really turned out nice and the customer is really happy with it. Thanks for looking, TD

Yes Bill The new machine and the PWS is a good combo.

Mighty fine work Dave - we expect nothing less. If the customer was not happy after that job, something is wrong in his head.
