My son brought home an avertisement magazine from the auto shop we frequent and I was reading it and saw this new product by Turtle Wax. I had just washed my Scion XB anyway, so I went and bought some. IT IS totally awesome! Effortless and took me 20 minutes top to bottom. It is a little more that all of the other waxes...but so what? they have a super product that gives a super clean glass shine is 1/10 of the time. It is so easy and the shine is amazing. I didn't have to do foot by foot and no buffing. I highly recommend this............

Love it, and throwing my Meguiars, Mothers and Others... out

P.S. you do not have to wax your car in the shade anymore either!!

As long as you like it, that's all that matters. There have been products on the market for some time now that can be used in direct sunlight, FYI. Check out Poorboy's World products for starters. Have you tried the ICE quick detail spray?

I believe this post to be an advertisement ..

She claims to be from Detroit, yet her tags are from the U.K.

Plus that was her first post here , adn I just happen to see a few ads last night for that stuff on TV. Sounds like an advertising push to me

I am in the Detroit burbs :) And yes, I have Euro plates on the front of my vehicle! I got that plate from autogeek when I got my car. I just love the look...beings here in MI you can have any plate on the front you want and my car looks so Euro anyway.

Anyway, it was my first post.. By no buffing, I meant...I just wiped it off, effortlessly.

Secondly, what does SD mean? and no I haven't tried poorboys, but I have read about it.

Thanks!

krissy

yes, I'm a girl :) here is an article...

Article snipped . . . you claim not to be an advertiser, but it's starting to look that way. Feel free to discuss products that you like, but understand that shills (paid "undercover" advertisers) are not welcome here. If you're just enthusiastic about a new product, that's great, but understand why the community might view your posts with suspicion. -- Tort (moderator)

I was tempted to try ICE since I like TWPUG so much. I'd rather get a quality OTC product than pay extra for a 'boutique' product (plus shipping!). However, others on the forum that have tried Ice have said that durability is practically non-existent. That'll keep me away, since Ice is an OTC product with a high price tag.

Its really really nice on trim...

I been thinking of getting some mainly to use on my black trim, the internal dash "protectant" sprays never seem to last very long outside. I wonder how long this ICE stuff can protect trim from fadeing/discoloring? a month?? maybe a couple of weeks?? anyone know?

I seriously doubt turtle wax would be advertising using "shills" here. They spend MILLIONS on print, radio and tv advertising and they're going to hire a handful of kids with computers to place ads on AUTOPIA?? :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

C'mon, I think this BB is very informative and great but i doubt it is of a high enough profile to pull a stunt like that for a company like turtle wax.

whatever..I'm new and I love making my vehicle shine and I just thought I'd share something.

I was crazy about the microfiber cloths when they came out too...and still think they are awesome.

I am learning alot in this forum.

:) Regards

well, I tried it on my Suzuki Vitara "beater" and the shine lasted approx. 4 whole days. I've got pics posted in My Gallery for you to see. Zero beading, not a good shine at all.

BUT...BUT: I did use it on the discolored plastic door handles and it did an outstanding job of covering up previous stains. Now, THAT has lasted over 1 month.

All-in-all, Ice has turned out to be a great trim wax...but that's all.

i've been wanting to try the turtle ice spray detailer, but at nearly $10... i can't bring myself to doing it! they (turtle wax) need to bring the price down for the consumer as most will not spend that much $$ on it. :down

As a traveling sales rep...that's the funniest statement I've heard all evening. In Nebraska right now.

When I used to travel the Cajun state, I always ate a Mother's sandwich in N.O. (with debris) LOL
