There are reviews on another forum. Summary is not a bad product but ONR is cheaper.
 
I thought they came in close in price. Someone I here posted that it's about half as much as ONR W&W but the dilution ratio is twice as much...
 
Factoring in the shipping costs brings the price closer. It makes sense to order the Optimum with a bunch of other stuff than just by itself.
 
Thanks for the review/video. I picked up some at Walmart the other day for about $7.00 for 33.8 oz. It seems cheaper than the rest from what I can see even with the higher dilution ratio. I think they did this to make it safer for the average DIY'er. I hope to try it this weekend. I have not tried ONR due to shipping costs.
 
Do all of you double dip with the gary dean method wash? I feel like the MF towel will grab onto a towel and not be good for a second use. I feel like you're better off using the cheaper all purpose towels.
 
ONR can be used as a rinse-less wash, a clay lube, and detail spray. Do you guys think the TW product can do that too? Has anyone tried it using a lower dilution ratio?
 
I ended up purchasing a bottle of this stuff at my local Walmart. I intend to test it out later this week. The smell is very similar to that of the Origninal Formula ONR. The only downside to this product that I see so far is that it's not available in larger quantity containers, and the high dilution ratio.



I contacted TW to see if the recommended dilution ratio would be different if one were to use two buckets and a grit-guard insert during their wash process. 2oz per gallon is excessive in my opinion (especially when compared to other competitors products.)

As mentioned in the video, the only part of this car that had Opti-Coat was the hood. The rest was sealed using Optimum Car Wax (Spray Sealant) about 2 months ago.
 
UPDATE: A TW rep responded to my email and stated the following:



"No, the Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax is not available in a gallon size.



The dilution ratio is the recommended amount for a midsize vehicle with an average amount of dirt. The ratio can be altered to accomplish the work required. Some may use 1 to 2 ounces for compact cars that just got rained on. While others have even used it as concentrated form. Just keep in mind that the polymers in the formula is what’s maintaining the lubricity. This prevents the vehicle’s finish from scratching.

So, at this point I'm assuming this product can be used at 1:128 dilution for lightly soiled vehicles. This makes it a little more competitive, especially at Walmart pricing. TW also recommends the 2BM as written on the bottle.

Erik, thanks for following up on your question. Good to know. I just sent them a email asking if it can be used as a detail spray and clay lube. I have yet to try it as a wash, I got it last week.

Keep us posted with any response. I plan to try it out later this evening.
 
I did not get a reply as yet from TW. I have a question for those who have used it. Several people said there was plenty left over for another car when using the two suggested gallons. Would you suggest using one gallon with 2oz. for one mid-size car? I would use many towels with none going back into the wash. Thanks

If you are using the GDWM, 1 gallon of solution should be plenty for any sized car. All you really need it to thoroughly soak all the towels that you are using.
 
I finally used it today with one gal./2 oz and about 6 towels. I used another one to dry. It seemed to work well and as soon as I was done I saw the pollen settle on it.
