Turtle Wax random orbital waxer/polisher

Safe to use?

My grandparents got it for me when I got my first car, and I havn't had the balls to try it out since I got it, but might try and use it to put another coat of Klasse SG on before my trip to Vermont.

There it is, I can't even find it on the Turtle Wax site.

What is the 'random' part of it, I am assuming the speed, but the speed, 2800 OPM [oscillations per minute] is listed as constant, along with the motor RPM.

Should I be safe to try it out?

It will help you with applying/removing products, but probably won't do much as far as defect removal goes. Just make sure the pads are clean so you don't induce any swirls.

The random comes from the 'jiggling' it does. It doesn't spin in a normal circle. It 'orbits'.

Yeah, I was planning on using it for just product removal.

Don't you need something with more control, like selectable speeds, for defect removal?

And thanks for the random thing :)
