2010 Audi R8

Milage: 9300

Process: Stage III + OptiGuard

Total Time: 12 hours

The owner dropped this car off with me on one of the nicest weekends we've had all winter, it was about 50 and sunny the whole time; just great detailing weather. What I like about this client is when we initially spoke, I asked "are you having it serviced because you're storing it for the winter?" to which he replied "WITH QUATTRO DRIVE THERE'S NO REST FOR THE WICKED!" and upon arrival it was very obvious this guy truly enjoy's owning, driving and using his car like a daily driver. There was evidence of coffee dribbles and some random personal items as well as general wear n tear that one would expect on a traditional DD. The exterior was incredibly clean, the only contamination I found was on the rear louvers and near the wheels. The paint was devoid of swirls too-almost a let down honestly as I was hoping to really go beast-mode on the paint.

Interior:

Cleaned plastics with Megs APC+ @ 10:1

Cleaned leather with Adams Leather cleaner then saturated with Leatherique Rejuvenator oil for 1/2 a day.

Dressed plastics with 303 and leather with Adams Conditioner

Shampooed carpets then extracted

Windows with Griots

Exterior:

Cleaned engine with mild soap and water, using various brushes to agitate (the engine was not very dirty, I suspect that is due to it's placement). Dried with MF towel and blower. Later the CF was polished with Griots 3" and MFDA/M301

CG's Grime reaper @ 6:1 on rims (these bad boys were dirty!)

Body: CG Wash n Clear

Clayed with CG Medium clay bar

Dried with MF Waffle weaves

Coated tires with 2 applications of Tuff Shine tire clear coat about 10 minutes apart.

Coated rims with ArmorAll wheel protectant

Polished paint with Flex DA, tangerine pad and M205

Hand polished the rear louvers with M105 then M205

50/50 alcohol wipe down across the whole car

Topped everything with Optimum OptiGuard

Some clouds rolled in toward the end of the gig and made for some neat shots:

A little fun with the polarizing lens:

Best part of this gig was the owner asked me to drive it back to him-probably the sexiest 10 miles I've ever traveled!

Thanks everyone! It was a pleasure to work on her.

Thomas: It's a sony a300 with a polarizing lens attachment. When you twist the lens, you can stop up/down exposure in different areas, allowing more detail, or less detail to come through.

Great work! On a V10 no less! I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes the adams leather/interior cleaner stuff.. It's two of their products that I may continue purchasing as far as interior care goes.

Nice work Jaison! Love that color! Sick wet look to with the LSP!

Thank you! It was nice applying the OptiGuard in the cool/arid garage-gives you a lot of time to find and level the spots

Great job, car looks awesome!

By the way, I see green grass everywhere in your pics, you have no idea what real winters are like my friend. You should come to Canada, then you will see what winter is really about. LOL.
