Trouble with Klasse SG

Got some Klasse high gloss sealant glaze the other day and had to try it out on my hood. Read the instructions carefully, and put a very thin coat on the cars hood. I let it dry to a haze, then tried to buff it off. And tried, and tried. I had to put more pressure than I was comfortable with on the paint, ans it was still very hard to get off. Finally used a bit of FK #425 and it came off fine. Is this common with SG, or should I wipe on / wipe off?

Wipe on. wipe off.

Also, keep in mind that you really need to apply this verry lightly. A good rule of thumb to go by is if you see a lot of haze during the wipe on, you are using too much. It takes some time to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it is cake.

Search the forums and you'll find the majority of SG users prefer the WOWO method. It's the only way I can get a goog finish from SG. Prime an applicator and spread it VERY thin. Then immediately buff off. Work in 2'x2' sections for reduced streaking.

iSN'T IT FUNNY THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PACKAGING ARE FREQUENTLY NOT THE PROPER OR BEST WAY TO USE A PRODUCT. sORRY FOR THE CAPS. tHATS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE.

I've always found SG to be more durable if you let it dry before removing it. Using a little QD to aide removal doesn't really hurt it IMO, although I haven't had to do that for a while now since I've gotten better at applying it thin. Putting it in a little travel mister bottle makes life much easier - 1 spray per panel does it.

KSG..sometime is PITA to wipe. Esp, when your panel is hot.

You can spritz some QD and wipe it off.

I fog the surface with my breath. The little bit of moisture in the condensation is just enough to help with the removal without causing any problems with the durability.
